Everyday essentials
Help getting identification, applying for benefits and working through the paperwork that stands between a person and a job or a lease.
Peer & practical support
A missing ID, a ride that falls through, an appointment that gets forgotten. Small things end a lot of good starts. We help with the small things.
Support that connects the pieces
A home gives a person a base. Work gives them a direction. Support is what keeps the two from coming apart on a bad week.
Hard Won's support will be practical and personal. Practical, because paperwork, transportation and appointments are where plans quietly fail. Personal, because peers who have been there offer something no program can: understanding.
What support will look like
Help getting identification, applying for benefits and working through the paperwork that stands between a person and a job or a lease.
Planning around court dates, medical and counseling appointments, training and work, including the rides needed to get there.
House leaders and peers with lived experience. Someone to talk to who does not need the situation explained.
Connections to community resources, clinical care and recovery communities as needs change, with someone making sure the handoff actually happens.
Many paths, one purpose
There's no one-size-fits-all path to recovery. For some it's twelve steps, for others it's faith, harm reduction, medication-assisted recovery or something else. We support every path that keeps someone moving forward.
We will help you find a meeting, a counselor, a doctor or a community, and we will not judge which one you pick. What we ask is that the house stays safe and the work stays honest.
Support & treatment
Peer and practical support complement clinical care. They do not replace it.
Hard Won is building toward a planned intensive outpatient program. Until that is licensed and open, we will connect people to treatment in the community rather than offering it ourselves, and we say so plainly.
